The latest album album by Kasabian proved us that you should not judge musicians according to what they wear. There are two famous things about Kasabian that even people who don’t listen to their music know. First is the that the band was named after Linda Kasabian, the driver of Charlie Manson and the second is that both the frontman Tom Meighan and the lead guitar Sergio Pizzorno are household names for the list of the worst dressed rock stars. There is also the third fact, to which you may not agree, but Kasabian may be the best band from England…well that how things stand officially according to Brit Awards. I do not suggest that you should always follow the opinions of such music events, but you will certainly have the same opinion after you listen to some of their live performances on music events, which drive the crowd crazy.
In case you don’t want to spend money to get to their concert, you can still watch them on Youtube or buy their latest album. Kasabian is one of the rare bands that gets better with every other album. Their third album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum was something of a masterpiece, but their latest album is high above all expectations. Velociraptor! by Sony Music is something truly scary, as it is hard to believe that a band can endlessly get better without releasing something awful. I like Kasabian songs, because they always remind me of Guy Ritchie movies, maybe because he uses them so often as soundtracks. My favourite track from the album is called Re-wired, both the song and video are old school British, with its special accent and taste. Never dream of getting tired of this stuff. After you listen to it once, you will have the unstoppable desire to grab tune your player and get another dose of Kasabian music.
