Samba: Dancing Happiness

Samba: Dancing HappinessWhen you feel the energy of happiness, lightheartedness and intimacy with people around – that’s the breathing of samba inside you.

Samba comes from African dances modified in Brazilian manner. Samba is danced throughout Brazilian carnival parades, especially during the well-known carnival in Rio de Janeiro. It may even seem that millions of people from all over the world make their tours not to see Brazil, but to enjoy the spirit of samba. This made samba dance the symbol of Brazil, the most famous feature of a whole country, which actually describes Brazilian character in the best possible way.

Nowadays samba has two versions – the social dance popular in Brazil and the partner dance within the Latin competition program of ballroom dances. Brazilian samba may be performed as a single dance within a large group of people, full of small bouncing steps and tilts, spiced with refined acrobatic tricks. Meanwhile the ballroom version of samba requires smooth, progressive motion, though not without the sexy samba tic action proceeding from the African roots of this dancing style.

Samba is danced within a similarly called musical genre of 2/4 tempo. Quick foot motion, hip shaking and active belly jerks are the basic samba movements. Ballroom samba figures are more sophisticated and vary from the carnival samba style a lot.

Enjoying free flows of sexual energy and happy mood – this is what samba is about. So, there is no better way of depression therapy than samba.
