Famous folk-band Celtic Woman is releasing its latest album called “Songs From The Heart” on January 26, 2010.
“Songs From The Heart” is going to be their fifth album. It will include the songs “Fields of Gold,” “Amazing Grace,” “My Lagan Love,” “When You Believe,” “The New Ground-Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears,” “The Moon’s A Harsh Mistress,” “You’ll Be In My Heart,” “Goodnight My Angel,” “Galway Bay,” “The Lost Rose Fantasia,” “O, America!” and others.
Folk music has become very popular lately. Tired from modern music, many people turn to the mystic and soft tunes of folk music. This is the reason for the popularity of such artists and groups as Enya, Nana Mouskouri, The Corrs and many others.
Celtic Woman is a relatively young folk group that managed to blend Irish music and Celtic tunes. They included some elements of modern rhythm, making the traditional old music sound fresher and attracting people of almost all age-groups, from 15 to 70 years old.
Celtic Woman has released four albums: “Celtic Woman,” “Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration,” “Celtic Woman: A New Journey” and “Celtic Woman: The Greatest Journey.” The group is best known for its specific vocal reproduction of soundtracks and major hits of all times, such as “Ave Maria,” “May It Be,” “You Raise Me Up,” “One World,” “Over The Rainbow” and many others.
These charming women with their spiritual choral voices impressed the audience when they first appeared on TV in 2005. They competed even Andrea Bocelli and remained in first place on the billboard 100 world music chart where they remained for 81 weeks.
The release of the new album isn’t the only good news for the group’s fans. In 2010, Celtic Woman is starting a grand tour throughout North America, which will start in February.
