Singer and songwriter Norah Jones’s latest album entitled “The Fall” is set to be released on November 17. “The Fall” is her fourth studio album and is being released by Blue Note Records.
The producer of this forthcoming album is Jacquire King, who has worked with Tom Waits, Kings of Leon and Modest Mouse, among others.
For “The Fall,” Norah wanted to try new things. This time she wanted to work with a new team and experiment with different sounds. And with the help of her producer Jacquire the new group was created with the following members: drummers Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and James Gadson (Bill Withers), keyboardist James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Al Green), and guitarists Smokey Hormel (Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer) and Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello).
Another difference from her previous work is that on this album, she mainly plays guitar. The Fall contains the following songs: “Chasing Pirates,” “Even Though,” “Light As a Feather,” “Young Blood,” “I Wouldn’t Need You,” “Waiting,” “It’s Gonna Be” and “You’ve Ruined Me.” All songs are written or co-written by Norah Jones.
If you love guitar and Norah Jones’s songs, which have beautiful melodies, then wait until November 17.
