Rihanna was at first a reggae singer. Her music style had R&B, dance-pop and dancehall influences. Later on it became more pop-rock oriented.
At the beginning of the singer’s career many thought that Rihanna’s voice was similar to Beyonce’s. But the Barbadian princess proved that she can have her own music style.
Barbadian princess is going to release a new album titled “Rated R.” Its CD release date is scheduled for December, 2009.
This is Rihanna’s fourth studio album, the previous ones being “Music of the Sun,” “A Girl Like Me,” and “Good Girl Gone Bad.”
The album contains two songs written by One Republic’s Ryan Tedder. One of the songs is played on solo piano displaying Rihanna’s vocalic perfection. Rihanna also collaborated with Mr Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Pharell Williams, Shontelle and Soulja Boy. Perhaps “Rated R” will contain two or three duets.
“Rated R” is said to be more rock and pop sounding than R&B, and the songs are going to be close to “Disturbia” and “Shut Up & Drive” genres. Rihanna wants her forthcoming album to win fame and success.
I am sure that Rihanna will make “Rated R” the best of her albums.
