One of the top R&B singers and the most recognizable R&B face is Beyonce Knowles (commonly known as Beyonce). She began her career as a leading singer in the band Destiny’s Child. Later Beyonce released her solo debut album “Dangerously in Love,” which made her famous. Since that time many of her songs were on the top of the R&B charts.
This year Beyonce lead the Grammy Awards ceremony. Ten of her songs were nominated for a Grammy and she took six awards. She set a record, being the first female celebrity who took so many awards at once.
Her hot R&B song “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” took “the song of the year” and “the best R&B song” awards. And the album “I Am… Sasha Fierce” took the award for the best contemporary R&B album. The hit “Single Ladies” was also nominated for the best R&B song and best song performance. Another one of Beyonce’s songs, “Halo,” was recognized as the best female pop vocal performance. She was full of emotions and said: “This has been such an amazing night for me and I’d love to thank the Grammys.”
She is great at performing her music. The way she dresses and dances makes her sexy and incomparable. According to Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, Beyonce is good at harmonizing the style of her clothing with her music. No doubt she took awards not only for her top R&B songs, but also for her performance.
And it’s just the beginning. In one of the interviews the queen of R&B music was asked whether she was preparing to set another record, and Beyonce answered that she won’t mind winning a number one movie and single award. This answer is really worth admiration.
