‘Curse Your Branches’: David Bazan’s Debut Album

Curse Your Branches: David Bazans Debut AlbumDavid Bazan is an indie rock singer and songwriter. His latest album entitled “Curse Your Branches” is due to be released on September 1st via Barsuk Records.

David Bazan is known as a story teller with a mournful voice. He loves singing about morality and mutual relations between relatives and friends. These all should be familiar to those who are interested in his works as the leader of the group Pedro the Lion and Headphones. All these factors, plus the morality and relations between families and friends, are also found in the songs of “Curse Your Branches.

The mysterious band Pedro the Lion split in 2006, and this is his depute full-length album as a solo singer. He was singing solo during the period between the band’s break up and this album’s upcoming release. Now his songs come to us in an album.

Curse Your Branches” is a masterpiece as it includes songs which were sung during his live tours since 2007. The album includes songs such as “American Flags,” “Please Baby Please,” “Weeds in the Wheat,” “Curse Your Branches,” “Broken Arm,” “The Stitches” and “Harmless Sparksand.”

“Curse Your Branches” is an autobiographical search of religious struggles and thoughts on things which pass between the generations–belief, doubt, love and addiction. His take on all these display his sense of black humor.

So if you are interested in David Bazan‘s music wait until September 1st. This album will be the one you can’t stop to listening all day long.
