Interesting music news! Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson are going to release an album which is based completely on duets. The inspiration of the upcoming album goes back to the 1960s to Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot.
Before making the album Pete Yorn couldn’t sleep at nights trying to figure out who he would make the album with. Scarlett who has agreed to take part with great pleasure is sure that this will be a successful collaboration of two good friends.
The album was recorded at Atco Records and its CD release date is on September 15. It can be described as rather emotional yet tempestuous, and the songs are all about the relationship between two loving people.
The album includes the following eight tracks: “Realtor,” “Wear And Tear,” “Clean and Someday,” “I Don’t Know What To Do,” “Shampoo,” “Search Your Heart,” “Blackie’s Dead” and “I Am The Cosmos.”
Scarlett Johansson started her career as an actress in 1994 with the film “North.” Her adult roles were in such films as “Lost in Translation,” “Girl With A Pearl Earing” and “A Love Song for Bobby Long.” Her career as a singer began in 2008. “Anywhere I Lay My Head” is the name of her first studio album.
An American singer and songwriter, Pete Yorn officially won his fame in 2000. He is also well-known for his film soundtracks for the films “Bandits,” “Spider-Man,” “Shrek 2″ and “My Sister’s Keeper.” His first album, which was released in 2002, had a very long and extraordinary title–”Musicforthemorningafter.” His second studio album “Day I Forgot” was released in 2003 and the third studio album, titled “Nightcrawler,” was released in 2006. “Back and Forth” was released on June 23.
As far as I see the prodigy artists’ album is going to be a fantastic one.
