Recently pop diva Rihanna has reported that she wrote “Rated R” album track “Cold Case Love” about her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The songstress admitted that she wrote that song after being assaulted by Chris last year.
The song of Rihanna featuring Justin Timberlake “Cold Case Love” is all about the catastrophic accident.
Rihanna says: “It’s a song that everybody wanted to hear, everything that I didn’t say for the past eight months, exactly how I felt about that relationship and how I feel about it now – that song says it all.”
The single lyrics include: “Your love was breaking the law, but I needed a witness and what you did to me was a crime, cold case love.”
After the incident Chris Brown also wrote the song “Changed Man” dedicated to Rihanna. At first Rihanna refused to hear the apologetic song of her former boyfriend, but after hearing the song, she reportedly cried.
In an interview with ABC news Brown admitted: “I played the song for her … a month after the situation. She called when she first heard the song. And I mean, I’m not trying to call her any liar or anything like that. But I played the song for her when I first wrote it. And she cried.”
The distressing incident greatly impacted Chris’s reputation: he was sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of labor service in June 2009. For some time several radio stations refused to play his songs.
